Why a Domain expires on "15-sep-2011" would be dropped on Mar. 22, 2007?

Hi,

I just check the Mar 22nd drop list and find there has a TOP domain would be dropped.

But the domain is just too Premium to be dropped in my eyes, so I did a whoise check for it and here is the result:

ICANN Registrar: REGISTER.COM, INC.
Created: 16-sep-1996
Expires: 15-sep-2011
Registrar Status: pendingDelete
Whois Server: whois.register.com
Name Server: DNS23.REGISTER.COM

I got the same results from different Whois service sites. And when I tried to put it in my backorder list, I succeded to put it into list with Clubdrop and Snapname, but failed with Pool ( I was noted that "These Domains are invalid or have already been added to your list" when I try this)

So the Domain is really would drop? Or just a joke?

why would they manualy delete it when it's very premium and regged till 2011 (so paid till 2011)

Goodluck getting it.. Do not tell people what it is or that will lessen your chances of aquiring the name, odd though must be a manual delete

BTW, if it is a "Manually Deleting", what could be the possible reasons?

Sure I will update the final result when the day coming. I don't think have much chance to get it. The price must be over my budget if it really drop and send to private auction.

I own a very similar domain. In fact its just the next digit up. I paid $10k or $10.5k for it on the reseller market last year.

The curent bid is $8120 and 2 Days 12 Hrs 16 Mins to go. So I guess the final bid would be 13-15K for this, which is higher than the 10-10.5K range...

How did Enom get it? It was registered through register.com, which uses snapnames.

btw, I can't find it on Enom auctions !
