is there any tool to check which site is sending the most PR value to your site?

Is there any way to know that?

May be a tool which checkes incoming links to your site and show sorted them PR wise so that the page with high PR comes at the top and you know what site/page is actually adding a substential PR weigh to your site.

And is there any way to detrmine how much PR weigh a page will donate to linked page?

Thanks for your help.

Some hosts provide you with "Web Statistics & Logs" check your host services.

Logs can be sorted based on the amount of traffic a particular "Link" is sending. And it is possible that a PR3 page sending you tons of taffic but little PR value if any and where as a PR7 page sending you relatively low traffic but a greater PR value. So I do not think it can be calculated by the regular server logs.

So is there better way to know about the PR value any linking page is sending to your page?

Thanks for the help.

There's a formula according to which google calculates the PR you get from a particular link (according to the PR of the origin)... It's rather complicated, I forgot it, but you can search around a little.

perhaps you can try this one to calculate the pr..

So there is not really any tool availble which can calculate the PR for you. May be its a good idea to have one.

Thanks all4cost for the links. Actually I am looking for a tool which can tell you the expected PR weigh if it links to you. A tool where you can tell a page link and on submit that will parse the data on that page, checks the PR of that page, calculate the outbound links and he apply the genral "formula" to calculate an expected PR addition to your site if you get a link on that page.

For example index page of site A has a PR of 6.

It has a total of 10 links on that page to external sites.

Now the above given formula can caluculate the PR value the page is giving to each of the external link.

Now site B wants to have a link on that page

How can site B checks of the expected PR value it will gain if site A adds their link on main page?

Is there anything avaialble like that? Is it difficult to create one like that?

Thanks for your time and replies.

Hmm. I don't know any such tool but it would be useful and not too hard to write. But it would not be accurate as PR is changing daily while on the toolbar it only changes every 3 months.

The forumula should be something like:

Value of Giving PR = LPPR * 1000 / (1.3 IL + OL)

Where:

LPPR = Linking Pages existing PR
IL = Number of inbound links
OL = Number of outbound links

* 1000 just to have a number to work with.
1.3 times IL because Google gives more PR to internal links. (1.3 an estimate)

Example:

Site A have a link to site B.
Site A has 10 internal and 10 external links on that page and has a PR of 5.

This makes: 5 *1000 / (13 +10) = 5000 / 23 = 217

Just my 2 cents ...

I think that the formula is:

Links+uniquevisitors+push+friends+luck=PR

:)

But that is the formula for PR in Public Relations! LOL

there is very easy way, just ask some websites to take down link to your site and wait 3 months. After that you should see how much they were giving to you ;)
