If you buy a domain that has a Page Rank (aka PR) of 4 or higher, how do you maintain that PR on the site?

Any recommendations? What I don't want to do is buy a dropped domain w/a decent PR and then ruin it by adding a 'Parking' or a 'for sale' page.

Ideas and discussion is appreciated, thank you for your time and attention.

You can't. But you might be able to mitigate it if you reconstruct the pages as they were before it dropped.

I figured as much, I went back to view the original pages as they were via web cache services. They were blank and have been so for a while. It is their valid true PR, not a fake PR. Maybe I should go back even a few years and mimic the content as you have stated. I will let you know how that works out.

There are copyright issues with putting up the pages as they were before the drop as that is not your intellectual property.

I believe it could be done..What it would require is going out and buying some good quality links and getting them pointed to the site in a decent amount of time before the next PR update.

If you're picking up expired PR4 domains and they don't already have a good backlink count then buying PR1 links may not be enough. You may need to look at picking up some PR3+ links. Make sure the links are relevant to whatever content you are putting up there.
