I want to grab a couple of domains which are expiring with the next 5-10days, could you people suggest which company would be best to use for backordering these domains?

I would love to have these domains at namecheap.com as they are my fave company - but I don't think they offer backordering? or do they? I can't seem to find any features/links.

Thanks in advance for your help!

For .us, .info and .biz, try 4domains.com

They supposed to be good. They have some good names they successfully backordered for people listed on their site and they're cheap (for backordering anyway) at $25.

I have a domain backordered that's dropping in 3 weeks so we'll see just how good they are then.

Best part is you only pay if they successfully acquire the domain and only one person can backorder the same domain there.

I think Godaddy is pretty rubbish for catching good domains... however... Godaddy caught MakeAQuiz.net for me.. which is now my biggest site :)

Hooray for Godaddy

Has anyone used RegFly.com for backordering? Its not my fave company, however they have improved thier site and services a great deal over the past few months so I'm will to try them.

Also with GoDaddy.com I think its like $19.99 or something - includes one year reg - but what if the name doesn't get caught? Do they still keep my money? I've tried reading up on the site - but its too damn annoying trying to find info on there - and I'm at work so can't have the browser open too long! lol..

Greatly appreciate all your input so far.. and thanks for helping me out with this.

Do you pay beforehand? I mean do you need to have a credit card on file and do they charge anything on it before they catch the name?

You need to put a credit card on file but they only charge it if you win the domain.

Whos best to Back-Order with?

The answer to that is it depends mostly on where the domain you want to backorder is currently registered at.

OK, I checked out the site, they left some old stuff up there, wish they'd remove it since it's way past delete date and confusing when you are doing searches. A lot of names listed as deleted in July are long gone so why would you back-order them if you can just reg them. Otherwise nice that they only charge $25. Wish all backorder services did the same, they would get more business.

Snapnames and Pool are the best to backorder domains. Enom Club drop is another good place.

I sign up with all the ones that only charge when they aquire a domain for you, (pool snapnames namewinner etc and list all the domains I want to backorder with each. I used to make a lot of mistakes in previous years with backordering with the wrong companies but this way seems rather successful :)
