This is the second part of a poll on whois privacy services. Most privacy services are an all or none proposition. I'm speculating that many actually don't need privacy of their name as owner, but really just want protection from spam, junk mail, or telemarketers. If you could pick to make only certain fields private, which ones would you choose. Please reply with your reasoning. (Fax is left off since that is an optional field).

Mirror the UK system where only the individual's name is on the WHOIS, with their contact details omitted. This is only if they are an individual it must be said, companies do not get this privilege.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I use privacy services only for those that don't have any active site. I just do
not want people to know I'm holding them until I decide the time is right.

Ideally, it would be nice to have hidden from email harvesters, but still available with some verification. Maybe through a verified response of some sort like making it unviewable from a whois site, but emailable to a legit email address as a link...sort of like the verified response when joining a forum
