Whois privacy on existing domains

i have some domains on domainrightnow.com (a godaddy reseller), and want whois privacy on them. They are not new though (i have had them for a few months).

Is there any way to get whois privacy that will take effect immediately.

Some registrars offer privacy on a prorata basis, i.e if you need it for 6 months , you pay for only 6 months. With others it is free.

Your best bet would be to transfer them to some registrar which offers free privacy, like Name.com

2) Register at least 5 new domains. Then you can add privacy for any domains to your shopping cart for free.

Yes, I did the same thing. Their privacy is free.

if you transfer them to another registrar you won't have any chance of renewing them via ddpoints, fyi/headsup.
