I have been thinking about domain names and the way people search online.
Clearly a lot of people will commence a search by typing the generic name of what they want into the address bar, then adding ".com".
Anyone who has tried this a few times will find it is an inefficient way of conducting a search. I mean who would search like that ? - people searching for fun? unsophisticated searchers? Who knows.........
What this is leading to is this..........
Eventually people will realise that typing into the address bar is a poor way to search for something. Might we see the demise of type in traffic, as peoples search habits 'mature'.
My fear is that if this happens, within the space of a few years, perhaps, this could lead to falling revenues and potentially the decline in domain name resale values.:yell:
I just wondered what other people here thought?
