I know nothing about domains like these. Does anyone know if they get traffic? How often do people forget the dot when directly typing in the address bar?

The browsers that I use will automatically ad the .com to any word typed into the address bar is this the norm these days?

I use Opera 8 and it doesn't automatically add the dot
