.tv Who needs a .tv domain name?

Hi, just registered, first post, hopefully someone can help!

We are a tv production company, doing work in the corporate sector. An associate has advised us to look at getting a .tv domain name which seems intuitively appealing.

However; can anyone advise on the commercial benenfits of going down this route and in what way it specifically helps to have one?

Hoping to tap into experience at the same time as doing my own research etc.

A couple of the main reasons a .tv domain would suit a TV Production company is that it of couse works perfectly for your industry, would be a memorable address that makes sense & one of the biggest reasons right now is that there is still a fair chance of getting your company name or keyword in .Tv unlike .com or .co.uk

Also there was a recent post at www.development.tv detailing 10 or so reasons. should be easy to find the post as it is a new website. What you'll find is that a lot of the reasons 'not' to use a .tv don't really apply to Europe - mainstream US media has been a bit slower to 'get it'!

Totally agree! Now is the time to get a .tv domain suited to your business while still available or at a decent aftermarket price.
