I've just been perusing the dot mobi sales on NameBio.com. Got me wondering, who's buying them? Is it mostly resellers? I'm guessing the bigger sales (over 10K say) go mostly to endusers.

Also, it seems the vast majority are sold at Sedo.com. Are these from the recent auctions that have been talked about here? Or are people just listing their domains for sale on Sedo and getting them sold that way?

If you had a handful of dot mobi domains to sell, how/where would you sell them?

You should be paid to to this krx, asking key questions.

I'm sure you'll get lots of responses on this one, so the only thing I would say is that with .mobi (more than with other TLDs) there is significant middle ground between resellers and end users.

Hosting.mobi ($101k) and some of the prime domain-related keywords clearly went to an end user - eurodns.com.

And so did many others - like insurance.mobi (bought by insurance.com)

Flowers.mobi clearly didn't.

But what happens when individuals like us buy, say domain-related keywords and develop good resource sites on them - are we then end users or resellers?

The key thing about the current mTLD auctions is that all of these domains have to be developed properly within 6 months of purchase - or else they go back to the registry and the buyer loses all of the money they've paid.

Some people think that you have to be a big corporate to be a proper end user. IMHO, that doesn't necessarily have to be the case.
