Will you choose a domain over a easier spoken or a more searched keyword terms?

I asked this question because I receive an appraisal comments of AsiaInvestment.com, according to JoshuaPz "AsianInvestment" would flow a little better off the tongue than AsiaInvestment.

I myself do a analysis on google news, google trends, keyword tool and google search. Below are results.

Result of google trends : http://www.google.com/trends?q=asia+investment,+asian+investment

Google Search Result :
Results 1 - 10 of about 116,000 for "asia investment"
Results 1 - 10 of about 70,100 for "asian investment"

Google News result:
Results 1 - 10 of about 141 for asia-investment
Results 1 - 10 of about 56 for asian-investment

Keyword Tool:
"asia investment" 4,400 searches per month
"asian investment" 1,000 searches per month

I am just wonder what will you choose so please share to all domainers what you think? I hope your answer will be on general not on the above specific domain. AsiaInvestment.com is just a case study. :p

:great:

In general I will always side with domains that include popular terms and high word tracker. The popularity is much more important than the sound.

I think Asian and Asia both work fine in this example, however I would prefer Asia.

I usually side with popularity over sound as well.

Unless you got big bucks in your pocket, I would go with what is searched. It is easier to rank well that way and organic search engine traffic is a money maker.

I see. Is there anyone that will go for better sounding and tell us why, so we can have a different view on this matters.

popularity sells.

If you're building a brand, how it sounds matters more. If you're mostly relying on SE traffic, then focus on keywords.

In my view, either one is easily spoken ... but have potentially different meanings / focus at least for me ... AsiaInvestment conveys investing in Asia while AsianInvestment conveys Asian people investing.

Another thing to consider is the .asia TLD launch - AsiaInvestment dovestails better with that than AsianInvestment.

Personally, I like AsiaInvestment better.
