I'm having difficulty deciding on a domain name. The domain will be in the .info extension and is for a popular destination to visit in a country. The destination is technically 3 words long, but is often referred to as just the first word, or also as the first and last word. This is where my problem lies...

The 1 word domain has 49.5k exact searches on google a month with a CPC of £1.32

The 2 word domain has 18.1k exact searches and a CPC of £2.25

The reason why it's not a no brainer to go for the 1 word DN is becuase i would have to pay around $100 for it (its on sale at sedo - it is only a year old). The 2word DN I can get for reg fee.

Another thing is the 1word DN is expiring within 2 months so will drop probably Feb 2010 and theres a chance no one will take it and I "could" get it then at reg fee.

Anyway, opinions please?

Well if you get the 2 word, and it also contains the word from the 1 word, you will hit from the 1 word and the 2 word searches..

get the second one for reg fee and backorder the first one, then when you get the first one redirect the second one to the first one ;)

Bingo! :gl: That is the smart move.

Also .... don't contact the owner
via whois if you want it to drop.

And remember that whois searches
can be monitored and this could
flag the owner.

Good luck
