Which to register .us or .info?

I have the option of getting the .info or the .us for a lot of names. Based on your experiences which extension will get me more traffic and resale value? I know .info is ALOT cheaper right now but with price factors aside. I have found alot of > 100,000 OVT names of popular figures I was thinking of registering with these extensions but would like to hear your opinions first. Thanks.

Well, it depends on the nature of the website. .info makes for the perfect name for an informational website while .us allows you to specificially target an American market. I've had success with both in the past and it all comes down to what the name is and which ext provides for a better use of the domain. In some cases it can go either way.

My infos are doing better than the us, but I have more infos and they are a little better. Like you said, the infos are pretty cheap right now, so I would just get both. Otherwise, depending on the domain, I would probably get the info because it's a generic TLD and not a ccTLD, unless you only target the US.

The popular icons that I found would be in the US market or at least are big in the US so I might snap both the .us and .info because they are both avaliable.

EDIT: Also found some million + ovt where .bz is avaliable. Isn't .bz like the second level name for businesses (first being .biz), how much does it cost per year? I don't see it on Godaddy. Thanks for you kind responces so far guys.

.bz is originally a ccTLD for Belize and you can register it at Namecheap for $28.88/yr

Without knowing the details of the particular names, I think that in general, .info is a better extension than .us.

I feel that .info is a more universal TLD and suits many businesses better than .US unless you are targeting only the US market.
