Hi,
Namecheap.com has the permanent discount code "golddeal". You need to have 50 domains in your account to qualify.

Dynadot.com has bulk pricing. You need to fund $500 to qualify.

I'm looking for other registrars similar to those two, that provide permanent discounts for domainers. It has to be permanent and not a monthly discount.

Thank you
Erdinc

Name.com has something like "Domain Investor" pricing. You need to have 25 domains in your account to qualify for investor pricing.

Hi syncvb,
Thanks for the information. I have send them an email trying to find out their investor club prices. It is not shown on their site. I had actually already checked out them today and there is no mention anywhere about the investor club pricing where you would expect such information to be, such as the pricing page.

I'm still not sure if they have special discount codes for the investor club or if they only publish the regular discount codes in advance.

There is some information here but no exact pricing:

GoDaddy, etc: you will always get a code for what you need...

It seems like GoDaddy always has discount codes available. And for those serious about purchasing domain names they can join the discount club for a small fee.

With their top notch support and service I would recommend using GoDaddy with their discount codes or discount domain club.

Dynadot has another level at $5,000 :)

Ditto on GoDaddy ... just keep an eye out on for codes, and renew domains in batches, even if that means renewing some a few months early, to maximize savings.

If you're seeking "set it and forget it" renewal pricing, GoDaddy isn't it ... one has to work the codes there to get the savings, but often well worth the effort.

To get "permanent" discounts without bothering with codes and promotions, it helps to have a large number of domains, as in at least several hundred to a few thousand.

Another strategy, if funds allow, is to renew most, or even all, of your domains, for a very long term of 5-9 years. There are financial pros and cons of doing that, but it's a sure way of locking in savings for a long time without having to worry about yearly rate increases and constantly looking for codes.

Does anybody here have the prices for name.com's investor club 25+ domains needed to qualify)?

I have sent them an email but they didn't email me back.

There is a whole thread here discussing this issue but nobody knows the prices:

I thought I will share the information I have collected so far. Here it is:

Edit: Removed old file. See first message for latest prices.

The Godaddy OK412 code is a long term code working for months.
It is the same with mydomain.com's bargaincut10 code.

The table shows registration, renewal and transfer prices for com and net.

Domain discount club @ GoDaddy is the best way to go. If you buy a lot of domains it pays itself off and you won't have to worry about bulking or renewal syncing.

GoQuickly,

None of the options I posted in my previous message (in the image) require bulk checkout. However I understand that you are referring to Godaddy bulk discounts which is not a good option anyway.

As for the discount club (DDC), it is not cheaper. According this page:
http://www.godaddy.com/domains/searchbulk.aspx?ci=8991

Godaddy DDC costs 7.69+0.18=7.87
Godaddy OK412 code: 7.48+0.18=7.66

If DDC was cheaper I would have listed it here:
Edit: Removed old file. See first message for latest prices.

DDC wouldn't be cheaper if it was for free. You need to pay money to get DDC.

I spend the whole day checking these prices.

I was thinking about your .net pricing - There are tons of codes currently out there that will match your com's and net's

They have there pricing at 6.49 for the .net and then you have the ICANN fee.

DDC is $90 for a year of it and most people buy it one time and renew up for multiple years to save the $90 off renewing that the next year.

7.87 .com's and 6.49 .net's isn't a bad bargain for year round pricing (unless registry changes there price)

Your bulk link is only for new registrations, not renewals though.

No. Which of these options is better:

Option A: Pay $90 for DDC and get .com's for $7.87 and .net's for $6.49.
Option B: Don't buy DDC and get com's for $7.66 and .net's $6.25.

If you buy DDC the other codes which are free and provide better prices won't work. If you want to pay $90 to get worse prices go ahead.

I don't think you are following this. I have not suggested a single deal that requires bulk checkout. You did and I said it was rubbish which is why I didn't include it in my list. I have posted this three times so far but in case you missed it before here it is. It does include renewals and does not include bulk pricing:
Edit: Removed old file. See first message for latest prices.

You are comparing Godaddy DDC with Godaddy Bulk pricing and I have excluded both of them because both are rubbish. You are talking as if I'm suggesting Godaddy Bulk pricing which I don't. Maybe you can start reading before posting.

I didn't see you had a discount on .net's

Your image shows them at 10.17 and 15.17 for the renewal.

What is your 6.25 .net code?

internetbs.net. Permanent discounts.

I thought the image was very clear. There is only one 6.25 USD price there for .nets. You should be able to find that on your own.

Currently the best options are:
For .com: Godaddy (OK412).
For .net: Dynadot bulk pricing (500 USD pre-fund).

Godaddy isn't the cheapest site for dot net's no matter what option you try. I already checked all 3 Godaddy pricing options (coupon codes, bulk pricing, DCC) and none of them beat Dynadot.

This thread is not about "what option at Godaddy is cheaper?". This thread is about what are the cheapest registrars?". You can exclude Godaddy completely for dot net's.

Here is a summary:
1. Don't use Godaddy DCC at anytime. There isn't a single case when it is cheaper even if you get the DDC for free which is not free and costs $90.
2. Don't use Godaddy bulk pricing. Again that option is never cheaper in any case.
3. Don't use Godaddy for dot net's. Godaddy isn't the cheapest registrar for dot net's.

I think for many people the Dynadot Super Bulk Pricing (5000 USD) is out of reach. However the bulk pricing (500 USD) is within their buying range.

Therefore we can exclude Dynadot Super Bulk Pricing for most people. Even then Dynadot Bulk Pricing beats Godaddy hands down for dot nets and that's what I'm using for the last year.

abdussamad,
I will check out internetbs.net.

I agree with you completely now that I see the difference.

I have a couple domains at Dynadot and it's pretty low key and simple. I'm a small domainer and don't have the money for the $500 prepay - I will stick with the 7.67 .com's

I might do all my .nets over there if I start flipping more regularly.

I just checked abdussamad's suggestion, the internet.bs registrar. They beat Godaddy for com's. I read a few topics about them and they seem to provide a good service. So I added them to my list.

Edit: Removed old file. See first message for latest prices.

I know about netfirms but I excluded them because of poor quality of service.

I have some names with internet.bs and so far I have had no problems.

I love internet.bs

Regarding Name.com, you actually get a monthly email with codes/deals etc. That's as far as their "investor" thing is.

+1 for internet.bs. I've used them for quite a while now with absolutely no issues at all.
