I prefer using my friend NotePad - We are pals :) we both can understand each other :)

But other then that, i for some reason can't get used to the coloring of the text editors and all the functionality it comes with (i know i can disable the color highlighting and disable most features) but still theres alot of use-less chunk (by useless i mean things which i don't use) with every editor and i don't really feel comfortable using these softwares most of the time i have seen the Bug can actually be in the software (IDE) you are using but instead you've been wasting time fixing it in your script :)

So plain and simple Notepad is the way for me :)

Notepad!

I've tried Dreamweaver and Frontpage but they both interfere with my codes. I like to place my closing tags on my own and not let a program automatically do it for me...

Notepad++ is the best one I have used. I use it for my daily needs. Also Aptana is one great IDE that helps with larger projects.

Netbeans is pretty awesome with code competition, snippets and so on but it can be an overkill if you just use it for html so I also use kate and right now im trying out geany.
