good html editors are a dime a dozen.

You can try notepad2 or JujuEdit.

I think the main thing when it comes to html editing is syntax highlighting and they both have that.

usually I'm using Adobe Dreamweaver. You can build a whole site with this editor. But if you want the simple and free, you can try "CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor" (coffeecup.com/free-editor), this simple Html editor also support HTML 5 and CSS 3.

if you want a simple html text editor then "Notepad++" , and if you want more features then "Dreamweaver".

Visual Studio Express is free and nice.... but I'd go with Aptana as a free PHP / HTML / Javascript solution .

If you are an eclipse user Aptana is awesome.
