Hi,

I have used many days, hours where I have "investigated" the statistic, keyword and so on... but I am stuck.

I dont know which of the domain names in the pool should be the main domain name. The other domain names I will redirect to the main domain name for now, but later on I will integrate them into the concept I have in mind.

Which domain name whould you select as your main domain name? vote for the one you would use.

Thank you very much for your help. You will help me sleep better! :)

Thank you very much everybody for your votes and opinions.

I have repped everyone who have voted. If I have forgot someone, then forgive me.

The vote is still open and I hope more members will express there opinion.

For now it seems "cleanmails.com" with 57% of the votes is the favorite, but "clearmails.com" with 28% is also one to consider.

Keep on voting, and thank you all again.

I went for clearmails, with cleanmails being a close second.

I don't like 'mails' in the plural. So have voted accordingly.

None are generics, therefore none have a direct advantage. Obviously 'email.com' would be better than 'crystalemail.com' but there's very little difference between 'crystalnemails.com' and 'clearemails.com'. Choose yourself, whichever you're most comfortable with.

I concur. "Mail" or "email" is a much stronger "Branding" name although I am not a big fan of CrystalMail.com

I can only gues what services you will offer so let me know if I am way off base.

For brandability sake crystalmail is probably the best (though you will have spelling problems with some users with "cristal, crystall, ect". But still the crystal may not be perfectly "clear" to some people as to what the site is about. Maybe they think the site will spam them about buying crystal glass.

My advice is to go with clearmails and once you begin to expand go with crystal. It's too bad you do not have clearmail.com singular...that one really rolls off the tounge. Actually, I think any of them singular would be better than the plural. Hope you got em.

As far as the "e" goes I don't think you need it. It adds another syllable to the domain and it's obvious since it's web-based we're talking email and not snail mail.

Best of luck!

I'm going to be honest here (no offense) I don't like any of them. If you are going to work on a project & integrate the other domains wouldn't you want to start with a rock solid foundation?

All of the domains seem to be the second choice since the singular, might be taken already. Depending on the amount of work you are going to put into your project it would only make sense to start with the absolute best domain. I'm not saying go out & buy email.com but I think there might be better domains to start the building around.

You can have the best developed site & concept but if you have a sub-par domain it's bound to be a negative in the long run.

best of luck

*mailS is really not a good choice. It looks like nails and mails is actually confusing as in what the heck could it be. It does not sound like it has anything to do with emails. Any made-up .com that is easy to spell and has a nice sound to it would be better than anything ending on mailS.

Thank you all for your votes and replies.

I have repped until my daily rep. limit was reach, so I am sorry if there is anyone who did not get a rep from me.

I agree with all who has mentioned that the singular versions would be better. But since its not that big a project I have in mind, but a side project, and one who I am not going to earn anything from, I did not want to pay what they asked for the singular versions. The prices was to high in according to the project I have in mind.

It's not a revolutionary project and I am sure it might exist somewhere around on the net.

It is based on free e-mail concept, like Gmail and thousands if not more other websites, but there is a "twist" which makes it differ from those websites.

Its this "twist" that will make it stand out from the other sites. This project I have could go two directions, I have not decided which yet. One direction would be, like any other free sites, to have many users. The other direction would be selective users.

Just as a side information, this wont be a site I will earn anything from, any income will go to World Food Programme They do good job to help people in hunger.

You might see another thread from me trying to find one who can make a script I can use. I know there are many free scripts to use for free-email service, but I need to have that "twist" I was talking about integrated.

Unfortunatly I am a very technology challenged person :), so to get this site up might take months. But I like to have control over the sites I put up, so I would rather want it to be delayed then not ready.

Again thank you all for your votes. This poll is not over yet, so it would be nice with more votes, thank you.

It seems cleanmails.com still is the favorite with 52% and clearmails.com is second with 23%.
