Which domain extension apart from com & net do you think has the most potential for growth and profitability?

.xyz divides opinions (especially here)

.store is good enough for MrBeast; then there is .shop

If you are going to sell, trustworthiness is very important. .xyz and few other tlds won't get you that. Better try cctld or in case of ngtld, a commonly used one and not something people are not aware of.
Depending on what webstore it is, few ngtld may work for you.

I'd say try io but with 40 to 50 renew it's almost unusable to hold it for most

co is okay but that's also around 30 now

really. just buy good com.

or check expireddomains.net daily on time for 1word io drops... and if your bored also xyz drops only because 1usd is dirt cheap not because xyz is good

I dont really see other viable domain strategies.

prepare for slow death of domains and domaining in next 10 to 15yrs. we wont be typing stupid names into stupid browsers on stupid phones in future while quantum computers are cracking bitcoin keys in one nanosecond

Hi, AsalmaY. The first thing that comes to mind is .ai, a domain name that has been really hot for the past two years because ai is growing so well and so fast. There is also .io, this domain name is similar. ai is also widely used in the field of science and technology, very potential. In addition, there is .app, now everyone uses app, .app domain name has a huge market potential.

there is nothing wrong with xyz only because it sells a buck a pop.
and or if you name is swetha

otherwise it is just ugly trash

which is why daily 100s of xyz expire and dont get renewed .. tho taken in many extensions.

xyz is something u tempted to try for a year for 1usd. like some new underwear type... but then u realize it's not comfy so u trash it.

Why not .com?

Even a .net would raise trust issue with the end users and it will make think 10x more before signing up.

Big companies can overcome this easily with their marketing and branding efforts. Yet, that will not be passed on to your name just because it's the same tld.

You can try a single word .com name. Also get the same name in respective matching ngTld and forward it to the .com. Try both and you will also be safe.

Most people won't know xyz unless domain investors. It sounds like some etcetera name. They may skip you searching for another trustworthy service provider.

So .shop has more value than .org or any other tld's?
It's just because of the initial registration fee of these tlds. A part of them may be used for spam and the rest will be disposed during renewal.
