What do you think will happen to .Monster?

Or other oddball TLDs?

Nothing probably, for bigger registries (owners of multiple tlds) running a tld doesn't cost much and thus they will continue to operate it. Smaller registries might need to be absorbed by larger ones to offset some of the fixed costs associated with their operations(offices, staff) if their tld isn't very successful in terms of annual revenue.
