Where are my backlinks?

I have two sites and a blog. Recently, I started submitting the sites to directories and other "add url" resources - page by page, since the site's pages have different content and metatags. I did it manually and manage to submit a very large number of links. I have statcounters on both my sites and also on my blog. In spite of my efforts, my traffic has been stable and low. I have also built a third site some time ago (www.dabliw7.com.br), which I monitor through statcounter, and I notice that none of them actually responds to an increase in external links. When I use Alexa or any other tool to access the number of external links to my site, they record none. How is that possible?
Last week I realized there was a big problem with my metatags in the qualiresearch site - the name of the company was misspelled. I corrected that about a week ago - nothing happened to my logs. My ranking is still exceptionally low.
But what I really cannot understand is the following fact: the "Merton research consultancy" site was innitially hosted at www.dabliw7.com.br/merton.htm . It was "Merton W7" at the time. Then I created (with the same design, same metatags) "Merton MZM", located at www.qualiresearch.com . I inserted links at the original pages, pointing to www.qualiresearch.com . Nonetheless, only the original www.dabliw7.com.br/merton.htm page ranks relatively high in Google on the relevant keywords. How is this possible?

Thanks,

It just means you have been Sandboxed or Google hasn't crawled your sites yet. If you haven't done so already, you should write a robots.txt file and allow all bots to index your pages. If you are Sandbox, just acquire more trusted backlinks and you'll be good to go. The worst thing about Google, I think, is that it takes so long for your site to gain Google trust. As a result you might be sitting for months without any SE traffic. On the other had, it's good, because it helps combat spam sites and blogs. Best of luck,

I agree with your thoughts on Google, and I think it's better off in the end to at least attempt to combat some of the spam!

My 2 cents.

As stated, may be your sites are in sandbox as far as google is considered. Do you get any traffic from other SEs, like MSN and yahoo (yahoo traffic is very minimal for many sites anyway). But MSN should be good.

It also depends on other factors, such as duplicate content, SEO unfriendly design and etc.

One good tool to check backlinks and indexed pages is siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com for example: http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...iw7.com.br&bwm=p&bwms=p&searchbwm=Explore+URL shows some good results for the site you mentioned.

Remember, Google may know about your backlinks and may not show up just yet. Also getting traffic from SEs takes a little more SEO on site content.

thats all I know, I do not know more about SEO.

Hopes that helps a bit.

What is the fastest way to get my site for google adsene indexed?

Usually when you place your Adsense code, a special spider indexes your page that same instance. Although you may not see relevant ads at first, or they may even be totally unrelated, Google will fix it within a few days or so. But Adsense indexing is alsmot instantaneous.

Well if you are talking aobut getting a site with adsense on it spidered, simply get some high PR links [most followed by google] and you will be started on the right track.
