Hello Fellows, It would be interesting/motivating to know "It took how many days/months/Years to make your first ever sale after you listed your domains?" I am just a couple of weeks old in this field, and no luck yet I am sure everyone here would love to hear from you all champions about your moment of achievement. Keep pouring in your responses. Thanks, ~Sid
it took me a year to make an end user sale. You can sell a investment potential domain daily at wholesale however.
I think it was November 2005, my first sale was via Sedo.com for $500. A hand-reg that sold about 4 or 5 weeks after I registered it.
I got my first offer for one of a Crypto .com domain. He offered 200 and I asked for high price and eventually there was no deal. Not sure if I misjudged the offer ...BTW nothing since then and still waiting for first sale.
Not sure if it was a good strategy, but for my first sale I didn't want to be too aggressive. Rather take less and secure some capital from that first sale if you have the opportunity.
My first two sales came after three months, on the same week. One dropcatch domain for $1500. A $300 auction purchase for $4500. Still possible to do today. Good luck all.
12 months ,hand reg misspell. mid xxx Now a developed Word press site, actually site was up and running very quickly after purchase. Good luck Cheers.
Advice: If no luck in selling domains, put them here, on NamePros auctions. Of course, you will get a little profit from selling here but something is better than nothing. I sold here many domains including my first domain. My first domain that I sold was SouthernUkraine.com for $1 on 17 May 2019 registered in October 2018. Sold here, on the auction. New owner of the domain not sold this domain and not renewed it in October. So after, SouthernUkraine.com was available for registration again. Some time passed and I again it regged only with other registrar Epik (previous - Dynadot). Built a one page with text info that search engines displayed and this domain for sale. I own SouthernUkraine.com twice and now I don't want it to sell for $1.
My first sale was on Sedo, I guess in couple of months of hand reg. It was legal domain sold for 300 USD. Then I flip an insurance domain (org) for 500 USD in 1 hour of hand registration. Good old golden days...
Sold my first domain XOQ.com for $30K + in 2016 I got the domain representation one week before I sold it, I earned a commission of just $500, not that great ... but still ... money is money, Now I support the rise of exact match keyword GTLDs ... I co own, https://e.credit https://easy.credit https://mortgage.loans I sold my first GTLD to an end user w/ an ROI of %1,100 ... bought Sicily.Properties for $19.95 in 2014 - 2015 and sold for a little over $1,200 in 2020 ... I believe more end users and consumers are being exposed to GTLDs, as time goes on >>> hence I treat exact match keyword GTLDs as valuable opportunities
It started in domaining about two years ago and I made my first sale last month at Sedo for xxx profit. Be patient Good luck for all . Best regards ((Devanos))
Started buying in December 2020. Sold my first two on same day in March, on GD auction. Both were 4L .com, sold for $xxx each. One was nearly 100% profit, the other one more than 50% loss. Overall, still negative. But got a sense of the full process, commission fees, sell through rate, transfer, profit/loss. So, my flip time is good, but profitability not so much. Just got to focus on learning and getting better with each step. Experimentation in TLDs, pricing and marketplaces continues.
Nothing yet for me after 2 months but honestly being away from the field and focusing on other businesses.
