What is your favourite domain name extension?

To keep it a bit more interesting, I'm gonna rule out .com as an option.

I will have to be boring and say .co.uk (as not allowed to choose .com lol) followed shortly by .net. My first ever domain registration was a .net

I think mine was too!

Yeah, the .com was taken lol - as typical, no website, no business, not even a holding page...

I managed to register the .com version at registration fee a few years later after it expired.

I was stupid and announced the domain I was about to buy - the .com got poached :P

haha, I have never done that thankfully... but I have made the mistake of using some not-so-reputable (but widely popular at the time) whois services. You know, the ones that log every domain checked and register all the good ones in bulk the following day!

If only it was so easy to type in the address and instantly know whether its registered or not (i.e. all registered domains have a holding page if not a developed website). I soon got the hint after a couple of months (luckily back then I rarely registered domains) and have never had that problem since.

Why rule out .com? It's not automatically my favourite extension. I'm in the UK. If I put up a site and I want to empasise that it's a UK site then I use .co.uk which means in this instance my favourite extension is .co.uk

I like the new generic domains. I think there's a lot of potential for them.

Which ones you like the most? I only got 2 so far as an investment (.careers and .pub) and another one for personal use which is a .domains that i use for my portfolio site.
