Inspired by a recent thread, I'll be writing an article for the NamePros blog asking several people the question: What's your favourite domain name you own?

For me it is a great example of a "domain hack" done right and also doubles as a good brandable domain for an online shop.

As for why the domains speak for themselves, a good domain needs no explanation IMO..

Darn you James. You know, it's actually a great question. I mean, your favorite domain could be of so many reasons...sentimental, monetary, purity, chemistry, function, age. So in the end, what wins? For me, it's not about money. It's about function and chemistry. Am I drawn to the name, are sparks flying? Is it easy to use? How does it look in the url, on a letterhead, logo or as my email?

My favorite is Cannabis related:

OilandGrass(.)com…very catchy, it’s a play on words...Oil and Gas…a very common phrase heard each and every day.

As someone recently stated on an unrelated thread, “The juxtaposition the two names alongside each other is very harmonic. One is an old-world hippie term, the other a new generation staple, together they cover everything in-between."

A little background, Cannabis is currently the fastest growing industry in the US, 29 states have legalized marijuana for medical use, of that, eight states and Washington DC have voted to legalize marijuana for recreational use.

Things are also changing globally, Uruguay and Spain are leading the way with full legalization, Canada is not far behind and is in the midst of its own legalization program...many other countries around the world are moving towards decriminalization.

My theory is that once scientific studies from various entities are published the benefits of cannabis will be undeniable and the world will never look back.

OilandGrass(.)com will be the foundation for an international brand.

internext.com is my favorite. I bought it directly from XO Communications ages ago. I dont really remember exactly when, but I use it as my online identity primarily and business name. I like how it implies forward thinking on the internet. Staying informed and knowing or providing what is next in the scheme of things

Difference between personal favorite(s) and what could sell for good $$. Get too attached to domains, you will have trouble selling.

Best for sale right now, Blockchain.link.

Don't like new Gs but get compliments on Blockchain.link often. Blockchain has more applications/uses compared to Bitcoin.

It's my favorite because it is Domain Names in spanish.
