What’s the next break-out TLD? Why?

How about all of the others?
.icu
.pizza
.directory
.ai

Which is your Favorite? Is there one dislike?

.us is the first ccTLD in the world and was launch before .com but was release for free registration only in 2002 . Some statistics show are nearly 3 mil. registration but i guess 1,901,176 is the good one - even so at the begin of 2020 was only 1.3 i think for sure end of June 2020 was 1.6 mil so he increase
I predict .us as the next one and also lot of changes will come because GD acquire Neustar

I suspect that the higher figure I originally quoted (from Wikipedia) is total registrations over time, while the lower figure that you have quoted may be current registrations(?)

I think .mobi has come and gone.
People rarely use the term mobile any longer. It's either phone or smart phone.

Nah! It is .mobi

The second coming of it will be glorious!

Stock up people! More people are using there mobi phones so the demand will grow really fast!!

.Live has been ...Is and I believe will continue to gain more traction as Live Streaming continues to Influence the internet....Facial recognition IS the future and as we are all witnessing with TikTok...THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER TREND!

.ai without a doubt. With .io they form a credible alternative to .com domination.

Plus...they are shorter and exactly represent the industry they are in. .co is too scammy with relation to .com -- you will always have that comparison and leakage there.

here is nothing like "next break-out TLD". IMO it is best to invest in meaningful, right.left combinations.
^^THIS!!

While some TLDs, and their registries, are better than others, in at least the new extension space it is the match across dot that is far more important than the TLD per se.

.xyz is soaring because it was cheap registration, and cheap renewal fee. So many .xyz domains are developed by small end users. This is becoming interisting to Big Companies, when seeing .xyz actually worked well in internet. Google also make algorithm that make .xyz well indexed, because it used by alot of people.

.co, .io, .ai was marketed well but the price are very high. The renewal cost also very high, so they are consider premium domains for small part of Startups.

.us is cheap, renewal fee is also cheap. But geo limited. Google search has algorithm that make .us only for US search. So .us is limited for US business or domain hack.

Might be .cc, .one, .vip can be the next tlds those are largerly adopted like .xyz. The sign is already seeing, as Chinese Internet prefers to use them, like .xyz 6 years ago.

Where have you read that google makes certain algorithms for certain domain extensions?

Reading your post I don’t think you know how google works…

This is interesting. When I was working in Hotel, I used .xyz and .club for marketing. The result .xyz is better indexed by Google. Even Google promise will treat NGTLDs the same.

But statistic shows that what I think might be right. .xyz is better ranked in Google search than .club
