I'm catching the tail end of this, seems to be some kind of controversy...

https://domaingang.com/domain-news/rob-monster-off-twitter-after-christchurch-massacre-controversy/

Must be something odd to evoke this type of a response from one of our members.

The news this week about a proposed amendment to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act is potentially a turning of the tide. The amendment was put forward by Senator Hawley of Missouri:

https://www.hawley.senate.gov/senat...amend-section-230-immunity-big-tech-companies

In short, it would force large, dominant platforms to demonstrate that they are not engaged in blatant editorial bias in their content. Well, of course they are doing that, but this would make that unlawful.

Here is one commentary on the topic:

We'll see where this goes. In the meantime, with election season heating up, at least one senator is gearing up to ride this theme into re-election. POTUS DJT has been mostly rhetorical on the topic.

That is the 'outsider' price...send support a request for better pricing and mention you are a namepros user (member).

It is correct. NamePros members pay $8.49 for all-inclusive full-service .COM. If you fund your account via bank transfer or crypto deposit, you can be approved for $8.10.

The reason why we can have great support and unmatched pace of innovation and yet still be a price leader for domainers is because the retail customers carry the water.

Lehman Brothers spearheaded the 2008 great recession and people worry about a currency controlled by voting rights within the Libra Association?

I'll take your word about Lehman, as I didn't follow such things back then.

So no potential big problems with Libra....

Are you all paying attention to what just happened to BTC?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you ..... ESCAPE VELOCITY:

upload_2019-6-21_19-30-58.png

This is when you should take care to also quote domain prices in BTC as there may well be a bunch of BTC windfall that will need diversifying in short order.

These speculative bubbles tend to exceed expectations as they climb the wall of worry.... If you need a BTC escrow agent, Epik is at your service. The seller can have USD, Euro, etc. The buyer can use BTC.

The mad money is about to flow, but remember not to be the guy holding the drippy bag. Bulls make money. Bears make money. Pigs get slaughtered. Good luck to all.

On a number of occasions, I tried to meet with the ANTIFA Seattle folks that had my neighborhood leafleted and who were generally posting nonsense on local forums. They all refused to meet, even though I invited them to decide the venue and time. The various Twitter storms they sent my way are still online, e.g. here.

The truth is most of them are kids living with Mom and/or Dad. Someone actually researched the topic and indeed that is what they found:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4200272/92-Berlin-left-wing-activists-live-parents.html

So, if you ever have an encounter with ANTIFA, just keep in mind that these folks are probably young, unemployed, broke, frustrated, and hate authority. They don't say this to condemn them, but to acknowledge that odds are good that they are in in a bad place, lost, and with little hope.

My solution was to engage with kindness, and openness. They have not bothered me since, in part because they were rational enough to see that in spite of the rhetoric, I meant them no ill will, and would be more likely to administer a hand-up rather than a beat-down.

As some folks here know, Epik recently acquired the hosting company called Sibyl.Li. It is a great fit for us, as they specialize in high availability, and already host many sites, including Gab.com. We also just became a RIPE member so that we are able to issue IP addresses in our own name.

In the meantime, earlier today, one of Sibyl's legacy IP address suppliers just happened to send the Founder of Sibyl a note indicating that Epik should not be able to use his IP addresses due to differing with my perceived politics. Here was the relevant quote:

upload_2019-6-22_12-4-43.png

Since Epik now has its own IP blocks, we were ahead of the game here. Yet, it is worth noting that the particular conclusion was informed by a Wikipedia article that is likely authored and controlled (camped on) by determined adversaries, from the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center, and their ilk.

Even though I have pretty thick skin, this is clear evidence of an economic consequence of weaponized propaganda, that was ranked #1 by Google as being an authoritative data point describing my entire body of work. It is also a good illustration of how rigged the system becomes once you peel the layers.

In case not aware, the people who are behind the ongoing attempt to defame me are not volunteers, but rather are typically salaried personnel whose job it is to defame, unperson, and to otherwise discredit. I believe there are two things this opponent does not like in particular:

1. They don't like being proven wrong. Transparent Ask-Me-Anything threads like this one expose and document the obvious inconsistency between the portrayed image and the factual reality. The SPLC and others wish to portray me as hateful when in fact that idea is nonsense and they know it. There is a reason why SPLC is being sued into oblivion, and why propaganda machines like Vice.com need to raise $250 million from the likes of George Soros to stay alive. The people who work there all know the deal. I am quite sure that the eternal price of their soul-selling profession is definitely not worth it.

2. They don't like people to get too close to the truth. The adversary here would like like to de-platform groups that are lawfully engaged in documenting and sharing their findings. I am not saying that such interests are going to be lucrative or career-enhancing, but for those who view that as their purpose, and are doing it in their right mind, and lawfully, have at it. Epik complies with regulatory and judicial inquiries. If there is a legal judgement against a client, we enforce it, particularly if the client acknowledges they won't appeal the judgement.

Looking back, preservation of lawful free speech on the Internet has been an uphill battle for Epik for nearly 8 months now. If I had to do it all over again, I would still do it in spite of the resulting persecution. Why? The act of standing in the gap allowed new innovators to come forward, and for new legislation to be put forward. The adversary overreached in their efforts. It was not the first time. It won't be the last. My hope is that when folks see tyranny at work, online or offline, they will have the courage to call it out for what it is, and to endure the resulting episode of tribulation, knowing you did the right thing.

More about Section 230. How accurate the article really is...

I was not going to post this Project Veritas video about Google but something interesting happened. We have a member of the House of Representatives who has now posted it on their official website. It is here:

https://gohmert.house.gov/uploadedfiles/google.mp4

The video was taken down on YouTube. For the moment, the Project Veritas channel is still up. If it goes missing, it is also backed up here.

The notable thing here is that:

1. Google is indeed weaponized, or at least factions within Google openly acknowledge bias in editorial guidelines.

2. The US policymakers are openly taking a position on the issue and turning it into not just talking points but legislation.

Where this leads, who knows, but it is worth noting the change in political discussion from rhetorical talking points, to something more emphatic with unknown consequences in terms of fines or regulatory action.

You left out a few endearing traits like entitled, lacking critical thinking skills being only emotionally driven, coddled by their parents, never taught personal responsibility, bad money managers, irrational, drug users, alcoholics, lazy, unemployable in the private sector (except perfect for Govt jobs).

Maybe you should go down to Portland, they have their own bar. Cider Riot. Just bring some security, bear spray, etc.

Joseph - you are definitely going down the rabbit hole now. As I said, I am not going to be an apologist for the Flat Earth theory, but you are asking all the right questions, and for which there is an abundance of answers from guys who are about this topic, e.g. guys like Jeranism, Eric Dubay, Rob Skiba, etc..

You sound like someone who grew up in Freemasonry.

The papacy is more likely the False Prophet, governing most of the world's religions and cults of any size, either directly or indirectly. The papacy has been refining the art for nearly 2000 years.

You can be sure that Satan is not the good guy. He can give folks fame and fortune on this earth. I will grant you that. He will also promise a path to eternal life through technology, but he won't be able to deliver.

Happy to compare notes anytime as to what you are relying on to form your apparently considered opinion. I think you have it wrong but am happy to listen and be persuaded.

Hi Frank - Although the Bible defines knowledge and wisdom differently, when I saw this meme this morning, I instantly thought of you!

Seriously though, we are all on a journey. If/ when you find yourself in a situation that you cannot solve by yourself, I am confident that you will recall some things discussed in this thread.

when I hear these guys talk
