What you do tomorrow may affect today..

Sound crazy? Check out the article Back From The Future in the April 2010 issue of Discover magazine.

It effectively does away with the concept of free will by suggesting the universe has a predetermined destiny or future that determines the past.

Funnily enough, I think the concept of a predetermined universe accounts for why some things always seem to "work out in the end"..

That is really interesting to think about. It's also in a way kind of depressing because it makes it seem like whatever we're working for ourselves is unaffected by how hard we work because the result is predetermined.

No, to my mind the statement "What you are doing today affects your tomorrow" is much more fair and correct.
