If we keep asking for it will come. I asked the early parking industry long for proper capitalization Upper/lower case and it is now the standard. What are some of the things you'd like your preferred parking service to offer - that it doesnt.

I am a die hard Name Drive user and I'd like to see the capability of adding own content. Own page titles. and also a few own outgoing links.

What features/capabilities would you like to see for your parked pages?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I'd like more freedom in adding my own content, such as adsense as well as the standard ads.

I'd like parking companies to keep their 1 cent payouts for their own business development purposes/ employee welfare schemes, and not show them in the domaineers stats. It hurts big time. Takes the whole thrill outta the parking experience.

I would like:

Using my own CSS if possible.
More earning for sure ;)

Thanks.

For people to be able advertise parking pages via search engine and ect, Typin traffic is to slow, Not a a very good ctr, unless the name was a high traffic name when purchased, Fresh reg, and names without good search engine indexing, Sit there and do virtually nothing.

Yes and they do allow expired domain name traffic which sometimes does comes from backlinks that are already there on the internet.

On one hand making backlinks for parked pages is not allowed in parking programs and if there are existing links pointing towards the parked page from other websites then it is allowed.

So what does it sums up to?

Well, it seems that buying domains with previous backlinks, turns out to be a win win situation. You've got the traffic almost assured, from day one. Any other traffic in the form of type ins and SE traffic is a bonus.

I see most of the features I need on Parking Panel. One thing which a parking company should consider offering would be "a query template" which allows visitors to type in what they were looking for. This could be very useful for domains which get traffic but no clicks. If visitors could let the domaineer know what they came to the site for, it would be of immense help.

If you catch a name with nice backlinks, that's a great deal, I have one at sedopro right now, I snapped the name up a couple of years ago, It was a website for 4 years, It gets decent traffic, But freshly hand regged names, There is no way to advertise them, and stay within the TOS of parking companies, But names with backlinks, and prior search engine indexing, Have the potential to do very well.

Sorry not sure if you are saying other parking companies should have this, or if parking panel should, just to clarify: Parking Panel do have this, but you may have to email your rep to get them to enable it.

One thing I have noticed with all the parking companies I have used is a kind of pepper pot approach to categories - lots of gaps where additional categories should be, I've always assumed this was due to limitations with their feed providers.
