If you have a good domain name but are currently short on cash, would you sell the domain at a low price? Let's discuss.

i think he means like CVCV.coms are resellable in a pinch. So if you have a $5000 CVCV.com selling it for $2500 or $3000 is yes an option.

Yes. Bite your pride and remember in bad times: High expectations don't trump current need. Be humble particularly on limited options on gain.

I wouldn't sell a a quality premium domain at a low price. I would try building a website with that domain name. There are some very good inexpensive website builders out there like Wordpress which could massively boost your chances of a sale. Selling a site is easier than a domaon name. If you don't want to build it yourself, outsource on Fiverr or similar platforms.

I could use domains as a collateral but only with a credible organization, which at least uses some credible third-party Escrow service such as Escrow.com - anything else is too risky of parting with your domains and selling them at the loan price if you transfer them over to a untrustworthy provider.

Nfly.com is full of typos, cannot text to American phone numbers, etc., and has so many bugs in the UI. I understand your mother tongue is not English, mine isn't either, but having basic typos and so much broken English is alarming!
Hello, namegarage. The nfly platform is an ICANN-accredited registrar and is highly reliable. As a new platform, we understand your concerns. We participate as a third party in the mortgage loan process, which is entirely transparent. As long as you repay your loan on time, the domain remains yours. We sincerely apologize for the English issues you mentioned, and we will work hard to correct them. Peace and love.

Hello, moviedeo, for example, if you have a domain name worth $5000, would you sell it for $3000 when facing financial difficulties?

If you're auctioning a domain off you can expect 5-10% of its end-user price point. Maybe a bit higher if it's a versatile domain. But you're not getting 60% for it.

But that presupposes that it's actually worth that much.

Whether you should liquidate a domain depends on your personal situation.
