What would you be doing when you get old?

ok let's say you're 65, how would you be spending your days?
I'm not actually sure what I'll be doing. I doubt that I could have a great level of energy at that age. Unless there's some major technological breakthrough that sorts it out.

So just chilling around the house every day? What would you be doing at that age?

65 years old is still young in my opinion. I'd probably be wrapping up my 2nd term as President of the United States, and would plan on playing with my grandchildren, going to the beach, travelling, and doing charity work.

I'd probably be working still... Life never stops so I need to keep it going.

If it goes according to my dream -

hosting motorcycle tours through the USA for Europeans and alternatively, in Europe for Americans - and, finally start writing books.

Retirement? not for me.

I would probably be relaxing and going on vacation. Lots of vacation. Mostly enjoying my free time

well, hopefully not still trying to gain back the money I lost in stocks over the last 6 months.

More than likely working i hope, I have heard many stories about people retiring and just doing much of nothing. then two to few years later they deteriorate and die.

When I will be 65 I will live in some village with my wife if she will be alive and with a dog. It will be quiet and fresh air there and I will relax from the noisiness of the city.

I would probably be hanging out with my grandchildren a lot if I reach that age :)

I'll probably still be active on the internet by then, still figuring out how to make my first million.

I will no doubt be sleeping for a very long time in a nice wooden box 6 feet under the ground. Or in a touch of irony for a smoker, be ash!

I will have successfully retired as GF's campaign manager, and I'll probably be doing some part time work hitting the various news shows that want to hear more of my deep political insight. I'll probably have to take a call or two from candidates begging for my official support, but I will rarely stray from one of my several beach resorts.

Oh, and I'll probably still be talking about developing one of my .tv domains, lol. Really, I'm getting right on that.

Your answer reminded me of a nice story. Maybe some of you haven't heard it, so here it is:

A few years ago, a very rich businessman decides to take a vacation to a small tropical island in the South Pacific. He has worked hard all his life and has decided that now is the time to enjoy the fruits of his labor. He is excited about visiting the island because heโ€™s heard that there is incredible fishing there. He loved fishing as a young boy, but hasnโ€™t gone in years because he has been so busy working to save for his retirement.

So on the first day, he has his breakfast and heads to the beach. Itโ€™s around 9:30 am. There he spots a fisherman coming in with a large bucket full of fish!

โ€œHow long did you fish for?โ€ he asks. The fisherman looks at the businessman with a wide grin across his face and explains that he fishes for about three hours every day. The businessman then asks him why he returned so quickly.

โ€œDonโ€™t worryโ€, says the fisherman, โ€œThereโ€™s still plenty of fish out there.โ€

Dumbfounded, the businessman asks the fisherman why he didnโ€™t continue catching more fish. The fisherman patiently explains that what he caught is all he needs. โ€œIโ€™ll spend the rest of the day playing with my family, talking with my friends and maybe drinking a little wine. After that Iโ€™ll relax on the beach.โ€

Now the rich businessman figures he needs to teach this peasant fisherman a thing or two. So he explains to him that he should stay out all day and catch more fish. Then he could save up the extra money he makes and buy an even bigger boat to catch even more fish. The he could keep reinvesting his profits in even more boats and hire many other fisherman to work for him. If he works really hard, in 20 or 30 years heโ€™ll be a very rich man indeed.

The businessman feels pleased that heโ€™s helped teach this simple fellow how to become rich. Then the fisherman looks at the businessman with a puzzled look on his face and asks what heโ€™ll do after he becomes very rich.

The businessman responds quickly โ€œYou can spend time with your family, talk with your friends, and maybe drink a little wine. Or you could just relax on the beach.โ€

After Ethan was born and finding out about his condition changed my priorities in life. I use to work 70 hours a week, getting paid a lot, had a big house, expensive car, etc. etc..

Now I earn a lot less than I did, but enough to manage, but the plus side is I get to spend lots of time with my family and I am getting to see my kids grow up, before they were always in bed. Even though I have less money, I am far richer now.

For me that is less than three years away. :)

I spend my time looking for phrases that get a decent amount of search traffic, relate to subjects I find interesting, and have a long shelf life. When I find one, I register a keyword domain, host it, do some research on the subject and publish a mini-site. If the subject is especially interesting or the site starts getting significant traffic, I have the option of expanding it.

I never imagined I would be able to earn an income from educating myself about whatever interests me and then writing about it. Since this amounts to "Pay for Play" I expect to keep doing it as long as I can.

That's a tricky question that needs a tricky answer. I will be doing some stunts when i grow up, like visiting my villas in the country town, maintaining my position as a chairman of the board in one of the prestigious company in the country.
