I am creating this thread to let the community vote and to get Namepros management's official response.

So last night when I posted @Kate Buckley open letter

https://www.namepros.com/threads/kate-buckley-addresses-those-who-question-her-sales.1162978/

Which was in part a reply to this thread started by @offthehandle

https://www.namepros.com/threads/nd...-of-chocolate-com-from-being-exposed.1162441/

Discussion erupted everywhere, TheDomains where I published Kate's post, twitter and of course here on Namepros.

I had 2 phone calls and several text messages on my phone, which were all over the map.

So the comments have been Ban Offthehandle, what they did was wrong, they did nothing wrong, if Namepros keeps offthehandle I am closing my account, if Namepros bans offthehandle I am closing my account.

So as a community what did you think of offthehandles' post and what should Namepros have or do about the post?

@NamePros @Mod Team Echo @Mod Team Alfa @Mod Team Bravo Was the post in violation of a Namepros rule?

When u start accomplishing in this industry, people may try drag you down, minimize and even question your accomplishments.

@Kate Buckley fan since Rate.com 725K sale; when they said โ€œShouldโ€™ve sold for moreโ€ Lol

My reply to her critics: Give me a break!!
Thatโ€™s when I knew it was personal.!!

Keep accomplishing, Kate!!

I have little doubt that NP mgmt will either work with the op to clean up the post and thread, or directly delete content found to be in violation of the rules.

Why do you think that? I know nothing but I would bet that post was most likely reported (my belief not fact) and nothing happened.

I'd share the same opinion; but why would anything happen?!

NP has statement beneath each opening post "The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.", it is probably somewhere in EULA that we accepted and signed for forum.

Content of that thread is not criminal or illegal or something like that; it is just libelous and malicious, otherwise it would be ridiculous, and it actually speaks about its author, not about Kate Buckley - I am surprised that she bothered to reply at all, the guy can keep enjoying his opinion, she can keep selling the domains, as simple as that.

This way, she just gave him attention, which is obviously more negative than positive, but negative attention is still attention anyway - without that open reply, a dozen of people would know about that guy; now, a thousand people speak and annoy over him, while he probably sits back and enjoys reading all that eruption of feedback.

Just my opinion... I think a lot of people overreacted. Including Kate by playing the 'women card'. Uncalled for. Unfounded. It's just adding to the drama, something the industry definitely doesn't need.

Who cares if someone you don't have anything to do with questions your sales? I think she should have been the bigger person here but at the same time I can understand she wanted to address it straight up.

She's a highly respected entrepreneur, lots of great insights. I could recommend anyone to follow her current and past work. It's inspiring. I actually think female brokers do a better job in general as they have a better understanding of what it takes to connect with people.

Anyways... I finished my popcorn, it was a great show. Imo.

I believe that because I have seen mgmt move, edit, and remove posts.

Trial? Bring the other side into .... and make sure that both sides deliver - proof. IREG side, not the broker side. Regards

First of all it's not called the 'woman card'. She was stating the facts as she has every right to. I commend Kate for what she said.

On the bright side, think pplโ€™ll think twice, before questioning Kateโ€™s integrity and credibility again

Gender card then? I don't know what they call it in the US but you get the point. I'm not a native English speaker so let's not argue semantics.

Fact is, she opted the OP may have it in for her because she's a strong, successful woman. There's nothing in OPs post even remotely suggesting that is part of his reason.

People shouldn't play that card when it's uncalled for as it can grow old and tiresome very fast. Better to save that for situations where it actually applies.

If you read my post carefully you can see I appreciate Kate's letter. I just don't agree with everything she said. I was asked for my opinion, there you have it.

@equity78 you pose a great question, He totally has the right to be skeptic about the sales given the publication he posted in reference/context.

Was the cadence he used correct, probably not. To be honest, We've had Telsa, WeWork, Even Bridgewater you can't trust anything no matter what pedestal you put anyone on. Everybody in "investing" needs to start with skepticism - so embrace it.

Healthy skepticism is not bad, it may of come across as a personal attack to kate, sure she took it that way. I doubt it was to be honest. He seemed more pissed of with the purchaser

Many people tried to used the hater/troll card with Tesla until the reality came to fruition.

The "women" card is poor judgement from kate, even going down that road. Great sale for Kate she has every right to say nothing or explain. It's her choice. End of the day a sale is a sale the numbers that look back at you on a bank account are still the same. No extra points are scored for who purchases the name. The game is money not status

Is offthehandle a hater or a envious of kate = Slim pickings

I almost missed the poll. I posted a reply first, then as an afterthought noticed the poll.

Sometimes I put (Poll) in the title of the thread.

If people are seeing replies, like i did, clicking takes you right to that comment. Not to the beginning of the thread. :)

but putting polls might decrease thread replies. More votes, less replies

weigh ur opportunity cost

For context @equity78 Your poll is hard to vote on, as it's biased in favor of Kate. His post is clearly not "perfectly fine" but he's not out of line to be skeptic given the information supplied

Was he totally out of line for calling it Fake. Yes. That's where moderation comes in

Classic case of six of one, half a dozen of the other

I should have worded that differently, I agree should have posted The member was within their right or something along those lines, because I am sure that thread was reported and no mod edited it or deleted it.
