Ok, just wondering what was the fastest turnaround to flip a domain. By fliping I mean right after you got it wther it was from a Drop, Push, Bought At Auction, Hand Reg Etc, how long AFTER did you turn around and sell it...and what was the price.

I will start...For me it was a dropped domain, reg it and sold it in 2 days for high $XX :sold:

Anyone else?? :hehe:

Ive done it in 12 hours on several occasions. I know Yofie just did a couple flips within 8 hours... pretty impressive...

I purchased a .info for $20 at 10:43 AM, and sold it for $350 at 16:28 PM the same day. :sold:

2nd, purchased a dropped .ORG on TDNAM for $15, sold it after 1 week for $1420 :) not that fast, but it is the fastest sale that brought a good ROI :)

I sold a domain before I bought it.

 there aint no beating that ! :bingo:

I never try and go for a quick flip even though I often get lowball offers pretty much right after snagging a drop.

Quickest one I've sold was about 2 months after buying it, no record there but a great ROI

.

I did this too, but different story, I was not that lucky.

I purchased First-Look.com on TDNAM dropped list, found an end user, sold it to their company for $550, they paid me $200 deposit. Unhappily, the exowner renewed the domain at the last day before transfering to me. Deposit refunded, apologized, heart broke.

It is the 1st time I know that ex-owner still has the rights to renew the domain after it sold on TDNAM... :td: Lessons learnt ... :yell:

My motto "flip as fast as possible" its like merchanting.. For me I just started this month buying .in domains and already selling 1 week later. :) about to make some moves today and another sale tomorrow. :)

I bought a .org for $600 and sold it for $5,000 before I even had it in my possession by someone who witnessed me buying it on the board. :)

Turned $400 into $1500 in 3 days with an LLL.mobi.

Hand regged two cctld's for 12 and sold for $500 in 3 days.
And hand regged 4 LLLL.com's, sold them in two weeks as a package for $140.
But I started domaining at the beginning of April, so it is not that bad.

My quickest flip was a couple of LLN's.

Two days, roughly $600.

I remember buying a certain name and someone offered to pay me to take over the escrow transaction.

Quickest was probably 5-10 minutes. I had an offer on a domain I had and noticed the plural was unregistered. I registered and replied to the offerer that I would package the plural with the singular for only 50% more than the offer for the one. He accepted and I sold both.

I've had several other cases similar where I got offers from a buyer and registered and sold extra domains once I had someone looking for domains on the subject. Many end user buyers are not good searchers or wordsmiths with their own industry keywords, or don't know what TLD's are really out there.

Off topic but how do you guys flip these domains so fast? I try auctions but they're slow and always get low bids. I don't want to steer this thread of topic so is there a thread you could recommend?

And don't domains need to be held 60 days before they can be transferred again?
