What is the fastest you have ever sold a domain after registration or aquisition?

In my case, some time ago I sold a domain only 10 minutes after registering it. That is when I realized age is irrelevant to most if not all end-users.

Interestingly, after selling the domain for $XXX, I received a $1000 offer the next day. But it was already too late.

The domain was something similar to GoldNY.com. So it was keyword of four letters + NY for New York.

Any similar experiences?

I once bought a domain off a newsletter for $150 and within 48 hours another domainer offered me $500 for the domain. I declined. Within a few days he offered me $1000. I believe long-term it is worth far more as it is a one-word fitness-related domain. We'll see.

The quickest flip I believe was a two-word Spanish .net I backordered and sold less than three weeks later for about $500 - just luck.

I have received payment and transferred domains within minutes of registering on several occasions in the low to mid xxx.

Most of the time to buyers I've previously dealt with.

I witnessed the following while at CES, the buyer had a 2k budget (serious buyer)

Friend tries to sell a domain lets just say it was (it wasnt) CustomTabletCover.com the buyer says if only it was plural (CustomTabletCovers) he's buy it now. Friend decides to contact the owner of the plural domain figuring he can buy and resell etc, just to realize the domain was avail. He regged it and sold it within the hour. The buyer was def. no domainer lol and I just checked the site he has a simple site on it for his business :)

I once purchased a domain directly from an owner for $250 and sold it to an end user 3 hours later for $5k ( he owned the .net equivalent of my .com domain ). Wish that would happen more often.

This is kind of childish thread. Does it really matter? Good for you, for your quick sale.

It's not about being serious.

Ioana's right.

We should have a lounge/fun section of the forum where threads like this could be left to roam free. Having fun is ok and welcomed but there are other places for this.

Anyway, to be on topic, I've never sold a domain in under 3 months after acquiring it.

This can be valuable information. Just because a thread makes someone grumpy doesn't mean that the board has to have yet another forum to make them happy.
