Hi all,

Just purchased a .ee domain wth 101domain.com, after going over 100+ potential names for our mobile app we finally landed on a good one with an available clever domain using .ee, thinking we had purchased the domain and all is good we went out to celebrate.

This morning I get an email telling me that our domain is pending approval with the Estonian Internet Authorities. Apparently this process could take up to 30 days! :(

This posses a major problem for us as we want to start doing some branding around the domain as soon as possible.

So I'm here to ask anyone with experience purchasing .ee domains...

1. What are the chances we get rejected?
2. We realize it's 30 days max, but how long has it taken in your experience?

Cheers!

Thanks @biggie we had looked at the page but I guess we overlooked the 30 day registration in our excitement.

As far as I can tell we aren't in violation of any of the requirements, and we did pay for the the 'trustee service'. All we can do is hope that they approve us in a week or two.

Why do Europeans have to be so bureaucratic :s

.mobi just seems horrible, I can't imagine a well branded product/site using one of those. Only situation it would be useful is if you had a desktop and mobile version of your website each on their own domain. Site.com and Site.mobi

That being said we did find the '.app' domains to be interesting. Unfortunately they are only taking pre-orders.

I registered mine with Tantum.ee ; I only had to sign a paper. It didn't took long before the domain got created.
I advise you to contact them, they are reliable and not expensive.
