This could be an interesting poll i think, We have so many extensions to choose from to purchase, But how many of these extensions do you type in,,,,in any givin day??? My usual surfing consist of Dot Com only, An occasional Dot Net, Dot US and .co.uk .... But almost completely Dot Coms, How about you??

I left out .IN and CO.IN accidently, You can vote for multiple extensions

As for me, .coms only.

also .info's because of its 0.99 cents.

As a domainer, I'm trying to purchase name in order of .com >> .net >> .co.uk.
But as an internet user, I don't care about ext.. as long as it's easy to remember!

same here, almost a 100% Dot Com typin user daily, That brings me to this question, Why do we buy all these other extensions? I mean...If we don't type them in and use them, Then what makes us think others do??? i know extensions are begining to grow somewhat, but will ...for say... .info ever become an everyday typin for us??? not imo it wont. So are we buying extensions of names that are virtually worthless??

Our bias for the familiar is reflected in our beliefs regarding domains - it is not what WE type in for the extension but rather the extension favored by the huge populations just embarking on full-scale interent useage.
We all have comfort with our own country extension despite how it 'performs' in the reseller market.

90% of the sites I visit daily are .com and the other 10% are usually .org.

excellent point "domainlobe" .... i definatly like my Dot US names, and do get some traffic to them, not a great deal, but some, i am trying to rationalize having ...or....purchasing extensions that will never have any value, what can a .TV be worth if the owner of the name is the only person to typin the name??? i think i have a fair debate here, who is really making any gain by purchasing extensions that will never get typins?? the only one i see making any gain is registers.

I don't type in domains, because I know it'll probably be a parked page, instead I google for what I am looking for (good old opera; "g [query]")
However, generally, the sites I visit are .coms, with a few .orgs (rarely anything else)

you forgot .de, .it and also .pk booming behind India`s boom.

But you included .sc and .tv ???? That makes little sense.

I think that people are going to buy domains such as .nets and .orgs because the .coms are taken and are usually to expensive, people want to make sites on them and advertise them not just leave them to be parked.

My votes: .com + .co.uk

Voted, although the poll is flawed.
I visit one .sc everyday, but many .coms- yet each will only increase by a vote...
