We know most domainers are sending out emails to potential buyers but they are grabbing potential customers by LeadRefs Google Advertisers and some similar ways. That's not within the rules of Constant Contact or IContact so what the platform you use to send mails???

Help Please

I probably wouldn't agree that "most" domainers are doing this.

The rules you refer to, are likely those governing "spam" or any type of sales pitches unrelated to what the member signed up for.

However if you have an established email list and members have consented to receive emails specifically regarding domains for sale, then it shouldn't be an issue.

I've seen some domainers use the aweber service for their mailing lists. You could also host your own, however it's not recommended if you have a large number of subscribers.

Well said.

All the end users i contact have opted in to a search service i use to find end users to sell names to. Randomly jousting emails to companies is not a good idea, But an occasional email to a company who may own the singular or plural of a name, And you own the opposite, Is not a bad idea to take a shot at making a sale with them.

I agree with this. I setup a list of opted in emails, about 1000. My first attempt was on a Shared Hosting Account worked perfectly but I was limited to only 100 emails. So I had 900 rejected emails. After discussion with the Host, they suggested a VPS. So I setup with a cheap VPS on another host, but my script doesn't work on their servers. Some emails went, but I've no idea how many or to whom. In fact I have had quite a few problems with eMail on the cheap VPS.

Even some HTML PHP includes which work on the Shared Service, but not on the VPS. It's a managed VPS, but they have no idea what settings are need to get the PHP INCLUDE statements to run under HTML. (But I digress).

I'll look at aweber. Is that aweber.com?
