Helpful scripts and software for domaining

I suspect that some of the most successful domainers (JoshuaPZ of nameflipper.com being one known example) use automated scripts/software to serve their ends. From end user prospecting to end user contacting, there is at least the potential for scripts and software to make our lives a whole lot easier. What are your tools of choice?

Personally, I find it tedious to manually edit my pitch letter based on the specific end user while sending upwards of 30 e-mails. Is there a program that automates the sending of individualized e-mails one after another according to certain inputs?

Also wanted:

A NameFlipper replacement. NameFlipper was a "domain name research engine that pinpoints exceptionally liquid expired domains".

In other words, NameFlipper would filter drop lists according to domain quality/sellability. This tool was said to eliminate much of the guesswork and manual research normally involved in selecting the best expiring domains. I was struck by the breadth and relevance of the criteria used by this engine.

Unfortunately, NameFlipper is no longer available. Are there any similar tools out there?
