What semi-premium letter do your prefer in acronym domains if doesn't mean anything special. Please don't pay more points to U just because it's vowel and can make the word to be pronouncable - we are examining cases when we have pure acronyms. For example:

VBSL.com
KBSL.com
JBSL.com
UBSL.com
WBSL.com

Not as inventive in my opinion as making Y a vowel.

No love for K. Did you guys know that K was the first "worst letter of the LLLL" to sell out of the semi-premiums? Then came W then U.

Y in many cased is 100% vowel and world is not black and white. Even premium letters can be divided in three groups as to me. Tomorrow I will post some statistics here about semi-premium letters, but currently I want to see how people evaluate these letters :)

Imho U is premium, not semi-premium so I voted U

U in first position is good (also when it makes an acronym pronounceable)

I still prefer K in general.

W is one of my favourite letters full stop.
It is a full on premium. However for the sake of this thread lol, have voted.

W = World Wide Web :sold:

even Words lol :sold: and a few other thousand besides :sold:

Voted V - vicarious vantage vacillatiing, vending versatile vested virtual visual vocabulary ...

But ... I thought 'V' was anti-premium ???

Esthetically, I love V ... especially with an X in the mix (ie VX = Virtual ... XV = 15 in Roman numerals, also seems popular for techie brands)

But for global acronym potential (ie, when dealing with the difficult low-frequency combos containing Q and X as well) then am wary of V since it has no obvious use to 1 billion++ Chinese who might otherwise be fine with the Q and the X.

(Sorry, I'm in a "split brain" mode now with the anti-premium perspective all around (it's more of a "collectable" WTF esthetic play rather than long-shot acronym potential) ... Just surprised to see 'V' cast in a semi-premium frame. I'll take a deep breath and try to refocus on the intended spirit of this thread now.)

But I do like V for acronyms in English and European languages, much more than J or K (usually my least favorites). W has a few powerhouse fallbacks (ie, Web, World ...) but I have a hard time with dictionary words beginning with W as well. (Though US census data gives it a decent rank for potential initialisms).

So V is actually a semi-premium now? Who knew!

Interesting ....

My vote was V, Because it has as many possible acronyms as W (U,J,K have lesser number of possible acronyms). So my choice was between W and V. But I chose V because W is to long to pronounce - double U, and V stands for Video, and video is a future of internet - video calls, video conferencing, video chats :)

W Without a doubt.

V is an excellent letter also. Agreed
