I had the LG VX8100 (Verizon Wireless) for about 3 years, and I absolutely loved it. It was intensely hackable (<3 bluetooth + bitpim). Only complaint was that it was insanely obese and battery didn't last very long.

I now upgraded to the Samsung Sway (SCH-U650) and I really like it. It's nice and thin and looks really good too. 2MP camera has really good quality, sound quality rules, and battery life is usually kickass. My only complaint is HOW SLOW IT IS in response time. Like, if i'm texting (or even navigating through menus) it's always like a good 5-10 keystrokes behind me.

I have a Nokia 5300, which I bought like 2 years ago. :D Thanks for reminding me that I need to get a new one. :D

I'm probably going to get something that just receives calls. :D Buying extra features like camera + vid is just a waste of cash for me 'coz I never really used these extra features.

I should have purchased the BlackBerry Storm.
but the Dare has alot of the same features or really close to it.

I just don't agree with paying the smart phone fee every month.

This phone records crystal clear videos I am impressed with it.

although my friends tell me there is always alot of background noise when talking
especially if I am in a car or outside on the phone. No idea why unless it's the way the phone is made?

I have this phone as well, takes decent photos although the camera lense gets dust on it easily and is difficult to clean. I like the video player, which currently plays a selection of music videos on my phone. lol.

I also like the full keyboard, much easier for sending texts.

My wife and I love our iPhone's. The only feature that the iPhone does not have which we miss is the text images and video camera. I am sure the future models of the iPhone will have those features.

iPhone 3G 16GB (White)

What I like most: the versatility with apps.

What I like least: needs MMS messaging, ability to set custom SMS ringtones, ability to forward txts.

Sony Ericsson W880i.
It is the only phone that I've been continually happy with for over about 6-9 months (which is when I've usually had enough and buy a new one). It's coming up to its first birthday, and if it breaks I will probably buy another one.
It's about 9mm thick, so it's no problem to take out on a night out and not look make an unsightly bulge in my trouser pocket like my old Nokia 6110 did!
Exceptionally easy to use, the only downside would be the size of the keys which are rather small (no good if you have chubby fingers). Since it's been out in Europe for over a year, it'll probably make an appearance in the US soon :-D
Buy one.

PS- for people stuck in the 1800s: 9mm = 3/8"

i've had the same phone since 2004, just a boring samsung flip phone. I don't use it much.

iPhone 3G here. Aside from lacking MMS support, it's the best phone I've ever had, and I've used a lot of WinMo phones...
