Hi,

I got a $200 offer for slots.life at Flippa but I rejected it.

Hello,

- I have sold 38 new gTLDs (most common sales are .XYZ and .WORK).

- My first sale took place in September, 2014.

- Lowest sale is $25, highest is $2500

- Average sale is about $550

Kohsamui, you sold them on your site or at other platforms?

About 50% via my own landing pages and 50% via marketplaces (Sedo, Afternic and GoDaddy).

Off topic: I work with domains about 25-30 hours per week, so "my relative success" has a lot to do with spending a lot of time looking for domains. My real hourly income is not that impressive. At least not yet. ;)

I guess all sales above $300 are to end users. Considering this, your number is impressive.

@kohsamui
Can you compare auction platform between Godaddy auction and Sedo auction? Which is better in term of auction result? Thanks.

I posted a thread about this a week ago in General Domain Discussion asking people to vote for Domain Name Sales or Bodis for overall success from landing pages. Though curious about what other domainers think is the best landing page service for nGTLDs.. or any others besides the first two mentioned.

hmmm seems bit hard to set buynow prices on auction sites (or your own lander 4 that matter).. given lack history with new exetnsions.. do you nonetheless do set buynow prices generally and is that how most your sales were done? or just offer counteroffer deals?

thanks for sharing.

There are plenty of sales to domainers over $300.

I've seen on a site:

All at $100 were bought
Some from $100 to $500 were bought
Very few at $2000-$3000 were bought

$100 is a bargain for a solid name!

Most I've seen from domainers was $1100 at an unsold auction on Flippa for travel.agency The BIN was $10.000.

After 10 years I expect most sellings to domainers for around $10000 for good names.

Per JB, here's an "ice-breaker" gTLD sale with "specifics" Lexington.city sold for $3,000 to a direct end user.

It's supposed to be your own sales:

"What new gTLDs have you sold and at what price?"

The notable sales you're talking about, a lot of them are registry sales.

And if it's a sale with a 12 month payment plan like the lexington.city sale, that should be noted for transparency.

"What new gTLDs have you sold and at what price?"

So far not 1 person has actually answered that.

specific.newgtld - amount

Missed this... Here are some (rather recent) sales of mine:

Plastic //dot// cards - $2500
P***y //dot// cash - $950
Enjoy //dot// wales - $860
Share //dot// work - $858
Mesh //dot// work - $663
Capetown //dot// xyz - $595
Arkansas //dot// business - $495
Organic //dot// yoga - $395
Insurances //dot// xyz - $395
Lisa //dot// club - $375
000 //dot// red - $335
Chips //dot// guru - $295
Casinos //dot// buzz - $295
Malaga //dot// tips - $295
U //dot// domains - $278
Pie //dot// xyz - $275
Fan //dot// one - $275
Pattaya //dot// dentist - $269
Naples //dot// xyz - $250

Only Plastic //dot// cards is in my opinion a real premium (maybe also Insurances //dot// xyz?!). So far, I've mainly sold $XXX ones. The better ones are waiting in my portfolio ;)
