What Makes Better Sense "Forum" or "Forums"?

I have an idea for a forum (maybe I already answered my question) that I would like to develop. I have a target market and would actually be relying little on search traffic. The website will cater to a niche group of people in a large geographic area.

It'll be GeoKeywordForum.com Should I be picking up the name with "forum" or "forums"? I'm not sure if I should be thinking brand protection... It is a long term project with some financial baking from others...

I'd love to hear some feedback.

IMHO, GeoKeywordForum makes more sense. The site is the forum. The site is not a list of forums ( even though yes, most forum sites are comprised of subforums ).

If you can get just GeoKeyword then even better.

Not saying those are authoritatively superior in any way, just sounds better grammatically to me.

I think Forum is better, and that you should get the Forums domain for brand protection.

For me, "Forum" is better choice.
"Forums" for brand protection is not really neccessary imho, except you want to spend extra cash, because i don't think "Forums" is used commonly.

Yes I agree. Forum sounds much better :)

For a domain name and branding, I'd go for the singular, forum.

For description inside the site, you use the word forums, as a forum is a collection of sub-forums.
