Suppose you sent around 200 emails, how many of them have replied back? What difference have you seen when emailing from gmail vs business mail?

Also have you been able to buy a domain and do quick flip via outbounding or maybe inbounding like within 2-3 days?

Tried outbounding via email, website, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin etc. Probably no more than 5% reply, if that. Most common replies: thanks, no thanks, thanks but no thanks, not interested, I already have a domain (!) & one person on Linkedin who took particular offence that I had contacted him to politely inform him of a domain I had for sale that may of been of interest to him that he replied straight away telling me to [email protected]~k off ! And just in case I hadn't got the message, he followed up a few minutes later with 'no really, you can just [email protected]~k off' or words to that effect !

I think part of the problem is that most people aren't aware that domain reselling exists, some simply don't get it. Some take particular offence at the whole idea, I guess some don't understand how it all works & perhaps don't want to get involved & many think it's some sort of scam. Amazing how many people clearly don't even read the emails & you get bombarded with automated replies about their business, realtors are particularly good for that !

Yes.One reply out of 100.That's also negetive. The problem with outbound is domain owner thinks the customer/potential customer have a requirement of domain but that's not the truth.

Same here. Tried about 30 mails to business owners and got two response like 'thanks but no thanks' which is okay. I think outbound is a hard business because of the reasons @doofer told about. A lot of people still don't know how valuabale a good domain is and that the domain market is a legit and real thing.

Agreed , outbound not effective but then no harm and if u got all the free time, I never had a domain sold thru outbound. It is best to let them come to u for a better selling price and chances. Important to have own market place , it takes only few minutes to set up , most enquire come from market place , MalaysianBrand.com , Brand4sales.com and recently Squadhelp having WindowBrand.com , good responses

First ever outbound email sent this week. Got a reply the next day asking what would be a guide price for the domain.

They are an online mens clothing company who operate on the .Co extension. I merely pointed out that I was getting a lot of interest and visits on the .Com and they came straight back to me.

I have quoted a reasonable price to them and I am currently waiting for their reply. I've probably scared them off lol.

So, 100% success with outbounding so far.

    Regards,

    Reddstagg

Average open rate for emails is 15% - 25%

    Average response rate is 5% - 10%

Average click through rate is 2.5% (where they click your sales link for example if you have one)

Conversions vary drastically depending on the industry, for domains I am pretty it would be on the low side of the spectrum.......you can find industry stats online easily enough

Use the above figures to work out how many emails you need to send to close a deal and the odds are not good unless you have a multiple pipeline of good domains.....and keep doing it day in day out

Just sending 20 or 30 emails for one mediocre domain is not going to cut the mustard......

I started domaining three months back. I sold two domains as of today and both are outbound. First one .com that was sold to .in domain owner, second one .in domain that was sold to .org domain owner. I send mail first, if there is no response i followup after one or two weeks through watsapp. If still no response i won’t disturb them again.

I started domaining a month ago. Maybe it's about content in the e-mail. Maybe great content with very precise targeting get better results. But certainly it requires big effort and a lot of patience. I am interested in the way of Sedo marketing-propaganda tools. They obviously have some interesting ways of offering.
