I think the question should be what's the quickest you solid it unsolicited, or the highest markup in the least time.

I feel that this thread is going to get alot of spam... it's not really a question that should be asked. Because unless it went particularly slow, or you had a problem with a particular broker, buyer, seller or bank.... Who cares who sold their domain the fastest?

Seems a bit silly to me. :td:

Id like to know the fastest hand reg to end user sale... that would be interesting. A person regs a name for less than $10 and sells it for over $5,000 in less than a week. I know this is VERY VERY rare (like winning the lotto) but, I'm sure it's happened. :)

I agree that this would be a lot more interesting. I'm sure that I have seen a few of these kinds of sales reported in threads flying around the Namepros forum.

Might be worth a quick search B-)

I sold a domain 3 hours BEFORE it was registered! So I guess that's a -3 hours for me :)

I've done that before. I don't think I'll do it again, though; it doesn't feel like it's the right thing to do. :red:

I agree with that for sure. I would feel rather like I was using their ignorance against them.

We were all ignorant about domains..... long ago

LOL... you're reading too much into that. It was for a local customer who I was building a website for. They knew the domain was available, but it was part of the package that I offered. :)

What I do is ask what they'd like their domain name to be, and check availability with them watching. They know they can register it themselves. But because I'm offering a package price for everything with the website and hosting included, they usually prefer that I just do it all.

Technically, I sold a domain name before it was even in my possession. Once I acquired it, it had already been sold.

You must have some sales technique. Wonder if the person ever realised.
