I need to move 100 names from Godaddy. I am so tired of having to use coupons and DDC that has doubled in price when I renew.

What is the current best deal registrar that everyone is using?
I did find cloudflare is cheap, but not all tld and I wonder...?
Dynadot is 7.99 to transfer w coupon but 8.99 a year to renew.
Name was more $

Who is everyone using and if this has already been posted my apologies. Couldn’t find in a search.

Thanks for reading.

i have all my domains with them!
“Never looked back” Nice perks constant epik innovation Feel more valued epik client with 1 domain, than GDDY as GDDY stockholder ; ) All-inclusive, no-nonsense.
❤️ epik.com

@Rob Monster can you confirm epik never lost 1 DN?

Send an email to Epik (customer support) and let them know how many names you want to move and ask them for their best pricing...you may be pleasantly surprised. The interface is designed with the serious domain investor in mind. Namesilo and Dynadot are registrars I use as well.

Correct, we have never lost a customer name. We run a tight ship at Epik.com. For those who need peace of mind on that topic, check out DNProtect.com.

Hi

to me, there is no best
they all have faults and issues.

for years i was with enom, but currently using Fabulous.com

since being at Fab, i've dropped a few names, which get auto listed on NJ
and if they sell, then i get percentage
two days ago, got paid $82 for two domains that sold there.

those funds go back to my account, to renew or reg more names.
does your registrar do that for you?
:)

imo....

i have started with NameCheap, actually i am happy with NameCheap yet i'm more happy with DynaDot :-D

For me the reason i select Dynadot the best is accesibility... Because of my location(CN) most websites are blocked/slowed or double secured...

I was tired of filling catcha with NameCheap

Than when i register with Dynadot i only fill security code which is okay, keeps my mind fresh :)

I can't even open Epik on desktop, but on the mobilephone it was fine. If i still didn't register with Epik here is the reason:

I have tried to open both on Google chrome and Safari but it didn't load the main menu properly(for the last 4 week i have been trying). When i try with VPN it loads well yet I don't use VPN on my desktop so offen. Hope this screenshots will let them see and improve their servers in China.

GoDaddy is very accessible and i love to use their most services except domain registration (first year is okay but next years are 😈 :$: )

That's all

Cheers,
Olcayto

What a great question. Does it have a proper answer? Not a simple one that I can figure out.

You can whittle it down to, say, a top dozen or half dozen, depending upon which TLDs you hold. You'll need to expand that if you hold both global and country TLDs.

If you're dealing on price alone you are accepting some big risks. But it's difficult to deal on price alone anyway because both the special offers and the listed prices vary rapidly depending upon what stance the top dozen or so registrars take when each reviews (they don't all review at the same time) and whether the registries have offers on, which are then passed down via the registrars. Then you have to plot these into your own renewal and purchasing calendar.

I'm not saying individual registrars vary their prices daily. But among those top registrars one or two prices do change very often so it just seems like that. Each time I look one has just got cheaper than the one I bought from last time so I save myself the angst by sticking with one for the gTLDs now.

You say a poll can't be accurate because GD are in the top 5. With respect, you're missing the fact that not everybody votes on price alone. To use poll results you have to filter according to your own preferences. At least the polls give you a list of providers to select from while you're still finding your way around.

For me, I'll say Porkbun. Their services have been fantastic so far and their platform is easy to use.

For domainers, probably Dynadot or Namesilo. They do not constantly spam and have consistent renewal pricing and good platform.

I don't know what their support is like because I've literally never had any problems or questions, for that matter. Everything you need to do can be done simply from their simple and easy client interface, which, to me, is ideal.

Domaining has its own challenges, so when I am at the registrar, I prefer to have relaxing, predictable experiences. That's just me. I am lame, though.

Dynadot for sure. Good tools and reliable. Everything works out of the box and support is amazingly hands on.

I like Dynadot because you get bulk pricing for so much business, that you're not paying extra for, unlike ddc

I personally prefer this ones.
  1. Sav
  2. Porkbun
  3. Dynadot
I like dynadot interface, too bad the prices are not like those of SAV.

SAV is cheap but their backend is messed up. They cost me close to $200 in revenue past month.

I've given them a try, don't mind to work with niche registrars like sav but I will never use them again.

Porkbun is solid though. Good pricing as well.

Epik Epik Epik and Epik.
Best registrar so far. You see that man Rob is someone other CEO's should follow his path. I love Epik and i cherish that man.

As someone else here suggested already, send an email to Epik / @robmonster and let them know you're a domainer here from NamePros and they can often activate a special pricing for users here. I plan on doing a bulk transfer soon of all my names into Epik due to their pricing.
I did email and was given a link to the pricing page on their site.

The same here, I forgot all about that one (got back 40-60$)

That is something I did not know and seems potentially a big advantage.
Are there other registrars with a similar arrangement with NJ (or other auction houses) that the former owner gets a cut?
I realize the owner can choose to place a name on NL, and potentially get benefits.
Thanks for valuable information, @biggie

My favorite is Dynadot, almost the best prices, there are frequent promos, the UI is great, I haven't had any bad experience with them ever.

You can also choose Namesilo, Epik, Porkbun, Name.com and Namecheap (these are equivalent regarding ease-of-use and cost). I'm also using Rebel, but in some cases their backend has hickups and their renewal system is... weird (but can be overridden). Uniregistry is great, but they don't seem to have a bulk reg option.

Sav offers very low fees, a (now) well-functioning UI and backend (there were major problems a few months ago), the downside is that you can't list your SAV names on DAN (well, you can, but the transaction will be cancelled --> the only way out is that when you receive Dan's notification about the sale, you need to immediately transfer the domain to another registrar).

I own and hold and never really check my portfolio. I did notice 2 of my 4L are missing and listed for sale. No clue when, didnt do research to see when DNS changed/ Any recourse?
I did email support for priceing info.

Don't transfer out all in one go. First test few top registrars.
