I was wondering what would be the cheapest 3 character .com domain for sale?

I would love to have 3 character domain so i can use it for email

the cheapest you can get is 3 character (mix of letters and numbers) .net (something like y8x) for $10-15, see auction section here at NP.

Also, you may consider for an email a 2 letters domains that are available in exotic TDLs:

one available in .GD:
MZ.GD

three available in .VG:
DZ.VG
SE.VG
EC.VG

Price: around $28 per year at Moniker.com

$200 is the lowest price for the worst one. Anything below $200 shall be grabbed immediatly. In reality, nice onces in .com starting at $800. 1st.com will cost probably $200,000 or more

There are restrictions to the registration of a .lv domain (and they are not cheap). If you consider 3 char ccTLD's, I suggest you take a look at the .be (Belgium).

It is a serious domain market with about 750k domain registrations and there still a few 3 char .be's left (but they are running out: in January over 1000 3 char .be's have been registered...) Seems an OK investment.

Wherever a local presence is required, EuroDNS will represent you. For example, if you register a .be as an American citizen we will act as your local technical contact for that domain. At all times you will be the owner.

(btw 2 char .be's are all gone, most premium 3 char .be's as well. If you are interested in a list of available ones PM me)

There are supposed to be some LL.vc left. Dotster (with coupon) and Moniker both around $30 / year. No residence or transfer restrictions, not much local market.

.LV is cheap- 17$ per year at nic.lv, sorry EuroDNS but it's only 55EUR buying from you, quite a profit

restrictions are only on European Trademarks and Latvian LLC names, all other names are available for anyone in the world.
All unrestricted LLs are gone, but some fantastic names like SE.lv and ED.lv are free because of TM issues, you can still register them, though you need to sign a document allowing the TM owner to take away that domain at any time. Then again if TM owner still hasn't registered it, it's highly possible that he doesn't care...
