I see a couple live auctions at snapnames that no one has bid on that end soon. What happens if they end without bids? Are they dropped again to the public? Thanks!

if there are no bids that is not a dropped domain but just someone auctioning off their own domain. the only way an auction happens for a dropped domain is when at least 2 people make 59 dollar bid.

Then how come a domain I tried to catch earlier today is now being auctioned at 49 bucks on snapnames???????? Wouldn't that kill their profit margin, buying it at 60 and selling it at 50 hours later? I think you may be incorrect....

Well i've spent tens of thousands at snapnames and know if there is only one person who backordered there is no auction, you just get the name. I don't see how a dropped domain could have no bids. Its obviously not a private auction like all other dropped domain auctions are.

It's listed as a "live auction". I'm assuming that they pick up a whole lot of names to sell even if no one preorders them? Anyone know what happens if there are no bids?

if no private auction, it will goes to public auction, if no interests in public auction, it will drop.

Yes, the domain I am interested in was in live auction at snapnames for $99. Nobody bids and the name was dropped, but was immediately picked up by 2 different registrars 2 times, today, it is picked up again, this time be Enom. I'm waiting for Enom to drop this and see if I can pick it up.
