What extension would you like to see next?

we've seen .coms, .net, and .org...

.info's are the first 4 letter extension that i've seen. I think it would be cool to see a .blog or a .news in the future.

I would like to see .CON, it would make great typos for the .COM domains.

You hardly have to type .com in any of the browsers be it Firefox or IE

Alot of people I know type the .COM extension instead of using ctrl + enter and maybe some don't type the extension but that doesn't mean that the .CON extension won't receive decent traffic. :p

Yeah, I know. It's one of those ones where you need a plugin to view.

If you see an extension that doesn't seem right to you it's most likly a fake one.

You need a browser plugin to access domain extensions marketed by new.net.. they're worthless to most people but some wouild be nice to have if real.

Alot of the .web domain names are already taken. This guy has sold the domain names in advance of being brought aboard. I hope they do not get approved for that reason alone. I went to the website and most of the great, one word domain names are taken and alot of them by the same people.

We already have .travel, .mobi, .post and .jobs sTLD's that should be approved yet this year.

I dont' think we need any more in the near future, but it seems inevitible at this point that we'll get something next year in the gTLD category. Personally, I hope someone other than verisign is awarded the .net domain this year so that it can get some promotion to give .com a run for it's money.

If we have to get some, Maybe these:

.pix (primarily for pictures, galleries)
.group or .grp (designed for groups, forums, etc.)
.not (parody/humor sites... trademarks don't count here)

There's a .xxx sTLD proposal on the table right now, but ICANN has looked over it for others at this point. I'm inclined to think this might be better as a sTLD than a gTLD to encourange movement from the gTLD's by adult providers.
