.ORG value

What do you guys think about the .org extension? Do you see real value in this extension in the future or do you think .net is far more marketable?

Some people I spoke to say the .org is really only effective for organizations (sounds obvious I know), otherwise it would take a really good name to create value.

Thoughts/experiences on .org?

All I can say is "depends"...
Sometimes it does worth much more than .net, but no more than .com.
I could not think of an example like in other threads, but I will update you while I found some.

I always think .ORG is excellent for <some idol>.ORG ..... fill in that <> with some popular celebrities' names. ... not of commercial nature though.... :yell:

Short one worders are commonly available... kind of hard to resell to end user. I've only sold one personally while many more of other extensions.

I'd say that .org has about 25% of the .com value --- more if the domain fits the .org extension.

I prefer .org.<country> unless it is an international organisation. I like it though. I think it comes on my list after .net:
