What colors go with this?

I've recently finished making a fairly good layout (In my opinion)

It looked exellent untill I added content to it, Then I found out it was too dark
After about 20 minutes of playing around with the colors, I still couldnt get my layout to look good.

Btw, Sorry if the link is down when you click it, I haventgot a host and im forced to host stuff on my computer atm

So please can someone here suggest some nice colors that would go with the red, that I can use in the content/menu boxes?

i think lighter reds and perhaps a white font

I think the whole scheme is rather dark.
Try using white fonts, possibly different levels of red as suggested by Tony.

YEs I agree with Tony,, lighter red and white or very light grey font.
