Menu Colors?

I didn't know where to post this, so I decided to do it here... I'm having a hard time pinpointing colors to use (hex) on my left menu on DemoBuilders.com. I'm looking for the background to be a dark blue, and the hover to be a lighter blue, but I can't seem to pinpoint the right colors to use... Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also on a related note.. are there any website that provide you with colors that look good when used together for those (like me) who don't have a good eye for them?

I like the current menu on the site, fits right in with the layout, and looks great IMO.
