How to make layout expand when content is big!!

hi guys, can anyone help me out thers,
i have a website designed and sliced in photoshop, when i export to dreamweaver to add a content with a div tag, my layout gets messedup? can anyone tell me how to fix this, when content is small layout remains good but when big all the design moves up and down, also when i embedd google map, it gets messedup, any help!!

The layout that you make by slicing and exporting a layout will not be expansable. For this, you will have to use CSS and slice your own images, using the CSS tags background-image and background-repeat. Google is your friend.

you CAN expand sliced images, but only if you want to fill spaces vertically or horizontally, like borders or background, just set height or width to 100%

but is better to do it the correct way: CSS+XHTML
